| Legalality of authorized hacking | | |

| harls | Dec 20, 2007 4:03am | Hi,
Does anyone know if it is illegal to hack your friend's box if you have permission? A few of my friend's say it is illegal and that "fact" is keeping them from participating in some learning activities. The excuse is: Since we go over our ISP's network it is illegal to hack into each others' boxes. I threw the bullshit flag but would like to know what's up. Any suggestions? |

I would just be careful you don't disrupt your ISPs traffic, flooding etc. As far as legality of "hacking" your friends computer. I haven't ever heard of someone being charged with hacking into a system they were given permission to hack into. I'm not a lawyer, but those are my logical conclusions. |
